Those reasons have been supplied by expert opinion from a solicitor and barrister and all members will receive a full report.

Hope it's not Victor Zammit! Shocked

Thanks for posting an update for us Secretary. I really hope that you get it sorted out. Being involved in running a Spiritualist centre in Adelaide SA I am well aware of the difficulties that can come along.

Dear Secretary

Thank you for shedding light on the situation at your church. I wish you very well in a speedy resolution of the problems and trust it will not be too long before your doors can once again be opened to sincere Spiritualists.

In a spirit of friendship, may I just say that it would have been even better if you had felt able to address your comments to all members of the forum and not just the men? This excellent site is one of equality and tolerance and has always been noted for its inclusivity.

Kindest regards

Alan

You will note that this site has clearly posted material which enters the public arena from either side. As a result the first two postings involved the Blog issued by the President. I agree with you that none of us are close enough to know what is actually happening but we are just reporting what is placed in the public arena in an equal way.

What I have posted is a link to a newspaper article dated 1st Novenber 2009 which is widely distributed on the web. I did not notice that it actually made any conclusions either way about the matters involved. However if an action is being taken against the Sydney Morning Herald I will naturally withdraw the link.

This is clearly a matter for the members to resolve with the President and via the church constitution. It is not the intent of our site to become involved in the matter apart from including it as recent news in line with the many other noteworthy issues. Should I be aware that any of the links here lead to material subject to libel action they will be removed immediately until the court decision is reached.

I sincerely hope that this can be resolved soon for all of you having to deal with such an unpleasant time.

Regards
Jim

Hi Michael,

I truly feel for you all at Enmore, we are involved in running a Spiritualist Centre in Adelaide and know how difficult it can be at times. I just hope that when it is all over we can be in touch with Enmore.

God Bless all of you over there

Re: Temporary Closure of Enmore Spiritualist Church

I have been approached to remove posts on this thread and am investigating whether this is necessary.

In the meantime I would make it clear that it appears that we have strong representatives of both sides of this dispute actively posting on this thread. I do not think this is, essentially, a bad thing provided that any debate remains civil.

However, I must make it clear to anyone reading this thread and those posting comments onto it one key thing. When a party on either side presents any matters as a fact these are, in reality, items that are party to the dispute and it may be thought by the other side that these comments are not correct.

I therefore urge those interested in this matter to word any postings in a very careful manner reflecting the sensitivity of the issue.

Regards
Jim

For everyone's information I understand that this weeks Psychic News has reported upon the article in the Sydney Morning Herald.
